18 new marks set at BASA Nationals
18 records fell at the 2024 BASA Short Course National Championships, as the six-day meet ended over the weekend. Two of those new marks fell on Sunday's final day at the Aquatic Centre in Wildey. Both were in the 200 metre Individual Medley. In the Girls 9-10, Gabriella Babb of Pirates Club erased the old time of three minutes, 45.05 seconds to set a new time of two minutes, 45.05 seconds. Then in the Boys 9-10, Zachary Ladipo went under the old record of two minutes, 53.25 seconds to set a new standard of two minutes, 43.62 seconds. The action overall was very competitive as CBC's Ann-Marie Burke looks at some of the Backstroke and Breaststroke events.
