Its 21-member Pacific Rim economies make up almost half of the world's trade, nearly 40 percent of the global population, and about 60 percent of the world's GDP. With the theme "Empower. Include. Grow.", APEC is set to chart the course for interactions among Asia-Pacific economies, seeking cooperation to fix both regional and global challenges.
