2024 Elections | IEC aiming for 100,000 prison registrations

The IEC has been in prisons this week hoping to register as many inmates as possible ahead of the general elections. It’s a steep ask for the electoral body if it's to increase interest from 2019. Prisoners have been eligible to vote without restrictions since the old Electoral Commission was taken to court by inmates in 1999. eNCA reporter Hloni Mtimkulu looks at some of the numbers coming out of correctional facilities.
