Andrea grew up in Charlotte, graduating from North Mecklenburg High School in 1974. Childhood was tough. She experienced abuse and became a mom at age 16. But she persevered, thanks to the help of motivating teachers and her “always praying grandmother.” After retiring from a successful 30-year career with AT&T in 2008, her heart was leading her in a different direction.
