2026 WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: UGANDA CRANES ENTER CRUCIAL PREPARATION PHASE AHEAD OF BOTSWANA GAME
Uganda’s national football team the Cranes has gone through its fourth day of training ahead of two world cup qualifiers. The Cranes start with this Friday’s 7pm kick off against Botswana before a next Monday date against highflying Algeria at Mandela national stadium Namboole. Coach Paul Put and his assistants including Sam Ssimbwa laying emphasis on team bonding, hard pressing, wing play, commitment and focus ahead of the group G 2026 world cup qualifiers. Though several professional players are yet to arrive, the Coach has many of his stars in the training sessions that are conducted at the outside pitch. Some of the players at his disposal are goal keepers Ismail Watenga and Nafian Alionzi,defenders Kenneth Semakula and Isaac Muleme and midfielders Umar Lutalo and Travis Mutyaba.
