22-year-old woman dies in road accident

A St. James woman is dead tonight after the motorcycle on which she was the pillion rider collided with a police vehicle. The accident occurred along Welches Road in Christ Church earlier this afternoon. According to Police Communication and Public Affairs Officer Inspector Rodney Inniss the deceased woman has been identified as 22-year-old Tishana Jamelia Ward of Husbands. Inspector Inniss says grieving family members of the deceased woman identified her body at the scene. The roadway was closed, affecting traffic going into and out of Oistins forcing motorists to use alternative routes.
