Sarah Boone is on her tenth lawyer in her Orlando murder trial after multiple court-appointed attorneys asked to withdraw. Boone’s case has been delayed several times since her boyfriend Jorge Torres was found unresponsive inside a suitcase in 2020. The alleged killer’s latest lawyer, James Owens, reportedly responded to a help wanted ad created by Boone after a judge ruled she was no longer entitled to public defenders and would have to represent herself.
