‘A caricature’: Lidia Thorpe is ‘enabled’ by far -left

Sky News host Rita Panahi has criticised Independent Senator Lidia Thorpe as a “caricature” who is “enabled” by the far-left. Ms Thorpe attempted to interrupt proceedings in the Senate by yelling through open doors on Thursday. This came after Ms Thorpe was suspended from the Senate for the remainder of the week after a sensational paper-throwing rant. “She’s comical at this point,” Ms Panahi said. “It’s almost amusing because there are people who’s voting record in the upper house is as abysmal as hers, [but] at least she brings some entertainment. “It’s hard for me to be genuinely angry at her because she’s a character – almost a caricature – that has been enabled by the far-left and the left generally in this country.”
