A changing of the guard in St. James North
A major development in the Barbados Labour Party camp. Member of Parliament for St. James North Edmund Hinkson has announced he will not be contesting his seat in the next general election. Speaking at a Christmas party for the children in the constituency, he announced he is passing the baton to Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Investment Senator Chad Blackman. Senator Blackman says he has been working with Mr. Hinkson since the last general election. Senator Blackman is the former Ambassador & Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations and other international organisations in Geneva. He has over twenty years of experience in international development.
