For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video From the conjoined twin kettles of the Yangshao culture – an ancient civilization in central China dating back 5,500 to 7,000 years – to an exquisite sculpture of a woman believed to have belonged to an era in time around 800 years ago, an exhibition currently underway in Beijing explores how ceramics reflect the social atmosphere of different eras and the progress of human civilization. This is one of many events taking place in Beijing from September 15 to 25 to mark National Science Popularization Day. Through the replicas on display, visitors can gain an insight into the variety of materials used in ceramic production, such as clay and glazes, while learning more about the creativity of ancient artisans.
