‘A PM’s time is precious’: Joe Hildebrand defends Albanese and Bowen using two jets

Sky News contributor Joe Hildebrand has defended Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen’s use of two private jets to get to the same event as a prime minister’s “time is precious”. Anthony Albanese and Chris Bowen both came under fire for using two RAAF jets to fly to the Hunter Valley last week. Energy Minister Chris Bowen says the decision to take private jets was in line with advice from the Royal Australian Air Force. “A Prime Minister’s time is precious – we don’t expect them to drive or take the bus like the rest of us,” Mr Hildebrand told Sky News host Sharri Markson. “He’s the leader of the country – he’s not like everyone else.”
