A ‘well trained’ sustainable workforce is crucial to aged care

Older Persons Advocacy Network Chief Executive Craig Gear discusses the importance of a “sustainable workforce” in aged care amid the governments new reform. The government has unveiled a $5.6 billion plan to reform aged care with support from the Coalition. “We need a sustainable workforce in the community, and we need a sustainable workforce in residential aged care,” Mr Gear told Sky News Australia. “They need to be well trained; they need to be paid well.”
