Abdullah Ibrahim | Virtuoso’s musical contribution celebrated

Pianist and jazz musician Dr Abdullah Ibrahim has been hailed as an icon who has made an invaluable contribution to the development of music both locally and abroad. Ibrahim was honoured last night as part of the Sports, Arts and Culture Department's Van Toeka Af Living Legends Recognition Series. The virtuoso’s performance at the iconic Cape Town City Hall, where Ibrahim first performed as a sixteen-year-old, kicks off his 'Water from an Ancient Well' tour. eNCA reporter Kevin Brandt reports. #dstv403
