ACRA's revised search function will not show NRIC numbers: Indranee Rajah

The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) will introduce a revised people search function that does not show any NRIC numbers, said Singapore’s Second Minister for Finance Indranee Rajah at a press conference on Thursday (Dec 19). “For those who require more information about a specific individual, including the full NRIC number, they will then pay and obtain the necessary information from Bizfile,” she added. This comes after privacy concerns were raised when users found that the new Bizfile portal had a search function that produced people's names and full NRIC numbers.
