North Korean defectors and activists in South Korea launched balloons carrying leaflets with anti-Pyongyang messages towards North Korea, the group said, amid escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula. Ten balloons carrying about 200,000 leaflets, $2,000 in one-dollar bills, and USB drives containing K-pop music and dramas were released in the border city of Pocheon, the defectors’ group said in a statement.
