Affordability top priority for most Canadians as Parliament resumes: poll
Affordability remained a top concern for a majority of Canadians as Parliamentarians returned to work on Monday, according to a new round of polling by Ipsos done exclusively for Global News. The poll found that affordability dominated the top five Parliamentary priorities, with 49 per cent of Canadians saying they’d like to see MPs prioritize reducing the price of groceries as well as other goods and services. Darrell Bricker, CEO for Ipsos Public Affairs, says affordability issues aren’t usually top of mind in this type of polling. He added that “You usually see health care right at the top of the list combined with unemployment.” David Baxter takes a closer look at the polling, and how Canadians are feeling about the political parties.
