Africa dam bursts: Experts say dams no longer fit for purpose

At least five dams in Africa have burst following heavy rains in recent years but many more are in need of repair. Environment scientists in Kenya say the changing weather conditions are putting a strain on water reservoirs. More than 40 people died in May 2018, after a dam collapse in Kenya's Rift valley.
