Agriculture Is Lucrative

The Ministry of Youth Development and National Service’s Youth Agricultural Homestead Programme is proving that agriculture can be a lucrative venture. Speaking on TTT’s NOW Morning Show, Technical Coordinator of the Programme, Ajala Pilgrim, said the programme allows for technical and financial support for young nationals interested in agri-business entrepreneurship. Mr. Pilgrim added that successful students are expected to receive two acres of land and a homestead as well as financial support to kick start their business. A member of the programme’s first cohort of graduates, Jabari Clarke, shared his most impactful takeaway from the Homestead Programme.
