Agriculture mechanization - Leaders, scientists in Karamoja want more tractors in the region

Leaders in Karamoja sub region want more tractors distributed to the area to help farmers open up big chunks of land for Agricultural purposes in the region. This follows a donation of sixteen tractors to Nabuin Zonal Agriculture Research Development Institute (ZARDI) by Ministry of Agriculture, animal industry and fisheries. However, leaders and Officials at Nabuin say the demand for tractors to promote agricultural mechanization in the Karamoja sub-region is overwhelming, hence a need for more.
