Agriculture ministry seeks better regulation for food products

Agriculture ministry officials are demanding proper regulation of food and agricultural products in the country. The ministry has proposed to Cabinet the creation of an authority, an arm of the ministry, to oversee the proposed regulations. Among other functions, the regulations will oversee food for export and local consumption to compete in the international market.
