Air Canada strike looms: What are your rights in an airline work stoppage?

A strike notice by Air Canada pilots or lockout notice by the airline could come as soon as Sunday if a deal isn't reached and with cancellations possibly starting as soon as Friday, travellers are scrambling. With a strike, some of the coverage under Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations don't come into play, such as hotels or compensation, but there are still things travellers can do both ahead of a strike and if one takes place.
