Airlines in Asia-Pacific race to hire more pilots amid post-COVID travel recovery

The aviation sector is facing a manpower crunch. Airlines in the Asia-Pacific region are offering higher salaries and better benefits to retain pilots and attract new ones. There has been a shortage of pilots after a halt in hiring during the COVID-19 pandemic. Analysts said airlines will have to get innovative until the manpower pool is built up.
