Albanese government facing ‘real challenge’ over the rising price of airfares

The price of domestic airfares has risen substantially after the collapse of Rex Airlines, says the Motley Fool Chief Investment Officer Scott Phillips. His remarks come as the Coalition has taken aim at Labor over airline inaction after airfares jumped up by roughly 13 per cent following Rex Airline’s collapse. “There is a real challenge around competition policy, particularly in the airlines,” he told Sky News Australia. “They’re (Albanese government) going to have to do something about it.”
