Albanese government ‘ignore’ the laws of economics: Bridget McKenzie

Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie has slammed the Albanese government for “ignoring” the laws of economics. Treasurer Jim Chalmers has maintained Labor’s $300 energy bill subsidies are not inflationary despite the Reserve Bank claiming otherwise. “If you believe in doublespeak, AKA 1984-style, this government has got it in spades,” Ms McKenzie told Sky News Australia. “They ignore the laws of physics, which haven’t changed just because they got into Parliament, and the laws of economics, which have underpinned the way the market has worked for centuries.”
