Albanese government ‘trying to censor the internet’: Paul Murray

Sky News host Paul Murray has slammed the Albanese government for “trying to censor the internet” with its misinformation bill. The Coalition has claimed Australians could be at risk of spending up to a year in jail if they refuse to cooperate with misinformation hearings in an unintended consequence of Labor’s misinformation bill. “This government, here in Australia, is trying to censor the internet because of misinformation, despite the fact there are many other laws about libel and defamation and all the rest of it,” Mr Murray said.
