Dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo was cited in contempt yet again on Thursday (September 19), this time by the House of Representatives for giving "evasive" answers during its quad-committee's probe into illegal POGOs. Guo, who had previously been cited in contempt by the Senate twice, is currently detained at the Philippine National Police custodial center upon the order of a Tarlac court. Guo has not posted bail for the graft charges filed against her in Tarlac — a move which congressmen on Thursday criticized as a tactic to avoid detention at either chambers of Congress. Following her contempt citation and the panel's decision not to grant her request for executive session, Guo was given two minutes as an opportunity to "reveal something" or say "whatever she would like to say." "Medyo gulong-gulo po ako ngayon," Guo said, before excusing herself to consult her lawyer. Later on, she made use of the two minutes to explain her decision not to post bail, admitting it was in relation to the contempt orders against her.
