Insurance coverage for alternative energy vehicles attracts a higher tariff. The revelation was made by Vice President, Property and Casualty at Gallagher Insurance Brokers during the unveiling of new vehicles at Caribbean Automotive Retailers, Lears, St. Michael at the weekend. She told Trevor Thorpe the vehicles are new to the market and an underwriting criteria had to be developed.
