Amendments to Bill not set out to be punitive
Minister of the State in the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Davidson Ishmael says the amendments of the Health Services Bill do not set out to be punitive. He says they only come into play if citizens do not take personal responsibility for the clearing of their land/ properties, and there's no need to fear the legislation. Mr. Ishmael was among the Joint Select Committee of Parliament on Social Sector and the Environment that met to review the amended Bill. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Waste Haulers Association Anderson Cherry says the more money spent on clearing overgrown lots in this country, the more revenue will be gained in Government coffers.
