Americans don’t feel ‘optimistic’ about the economy

Sky News Washington correspondent Annelise Nielsen claims the lack of “optimism” around the US made Americans want to vote for something different as Donald Trump pulls ahead in the US election. “I think really what we are seeing is just exactly what you get with a constituency that wasn’t happy with either option and was voting because they felt they needed to do something,” Ms Nielsen said. “This goes back to the day of malaise – people don’t feel like there is a lot to be optimistic about with the economy and just want something different.” “Donald Trump is a proven circuit breaker and Kamala Harris wasn’t promising that.”
