Analysis: Mid-week market update with Tom Piotrowski

CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says there were “encouraging” growth measures overnight despite both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq being down in the final stages of US trade. “In the final stages of US trade, the markets are selling off,” Mr Piotrowski told Sky News Australia. “We’ve seen the S&P 500 go from a flat outcome to be down around three-quarters of a per cent. “The Nasdaq is down by around 1.5 per cent. “We’ve seen some growth measures last night that were quite encouraging.” Presented by CommSec.
