Thousands of farm animals have been isolated in East London, before being shipped to the Middle East. The Eastern Cape Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform says it has been monitoring livestock loading to ensure animals' welfare. But the National Council of SPCAs says its tests have confirmed the presence of contagious ecthyma - an infectious dermatitis - in a group of animals bound for Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. eNCA speaks to the Director responsible for Export Facilitation and Veterinary Public Health in the province, Vusumzi Rozani. #DStv403
