NSW Deputy Nationals Leader Bronnie Taylor discusses legislation being put forward, set to increase and strengthen bail laws for domestic violence offenders. Speaking to Sky News Australia Ms Taylor said the introduction of ankle bracelets under the bill could reduce reoffending by 30 per cent based on trial evidence. New South Wales Parliament is preparing to discuss action against domestic violence as the Opposition introduces the 'Bail Amendment Bill'. The legislation is expected to strengthen existing bail laws for serious domestic violence charges. It will reportedly include the removal of powers for registrars to determine bail for serious personal violence charges where bail is opposed.
