Anniversary of Oct. 7 Hamas attack marked with rallies in Toronto

Thousands gathered in Toronto on Sunday to remember the victims of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Southern Israel and call for the hostages who remain in Gaza to be brought home. The Hamas attack saw 1,200 Israelis killed and about 240 people taken hostage, triggering an Israeli counteroffensive in Gaza that has killed more than 41,000 people according to the region’s health ministry. On Saturday, thousands marched through Toronto’s streets to push back against Israel’s incursions into Gaza and Lebanon. Lexie Benedict reports on the demonstrations in Canada’s largest city.
