Former speaker of the house Bronwyn Bishop has slammed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for his “weak” comments in response to an antisemitic attack in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Ice Hockey Australia has canned world championship matches in Melbourne over fears of anti-Israel protests. “You’ve got weak leadership from Albanese on the antisemitism issue, and it filters all the way down,” Ms Bishop told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio. “It’s in Victoria where you’ve got a weak Labor government. “I just listened to Albanese today making his statement about the antisemitic act in the Eastern Suburbs today … and, honestly, the words are so merely marred they mean nothing.”
