Anti-oil activists throw soup on Vincent Van Gogh paintings

Anti-oil activists have thrown soup on two Vincent Van Gogh paintings. Three protesters threw orange-coloured soup at Sunflowers 1888 and Sunflowers 1889 at the National Gallery in central London. They have since been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. Hours earlier, two activists were given jail sentences for the same act on the same artwork in 2022.
