Antigua and Barbuda is among countries which crafted a resolution at the Organisation of American States, condemning the recent actions of Ecuadorian security forces in storming Mexico's embassy in Quito. The twin-island state’s ambassador to the OAS, Sir Ronald Sanders says the resolution received overwhelming support at the OAS Permanent Council on Wednesday. Ecuadorian police stormed the Mexican embassy on Friday, arresting former vice president Jorge Glas on corruption charges. He was seeking asylum there since last December. The incident led to Mexico withdrawing its diplomats and breaking off ties with Ecuador. Sir Ronald explains why Antigua and Barbuda takes this matter very seriously.
