Applications open for inaugural Owen Arthur Scholarship Fund
Educational institutions and non-profit organisations on island have been encouraged to apply for the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Foundation's inaugural Owen Arthur Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund, valued at US $25,000, will be awarded annually in different destinations. Barbados will be the first recipient of the scholarship, which is in honour of the former Prime Minister of Barbados. Chief Product Development Officer of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. Marsha Alleyne revealed on CBC TV8's Mornin' Barbados that applications can be found on the BTMI's webpage. The deadline was recently extended until Monday, June 24.
