They had a tour of the mosque and interacted with the local Muslim communities, aiming to have a deeper understanding of Islam in China. "My visit to this ancient mosque in China confirms that it (China) is a country of peace and cultural diversity. The rumors and accusations against China are false and baseless," said Fares Al-Sulaihi, CEO of Yemen Media Union. "What we hear from Western media about (religions in) China are just rumors, we (Arabs) are suffering from what you are suffering too," said Khaled Orabi, managing editor of Muscat Media Group.
