Archbishop Gordon Appointed As Curacao's Apostolic Administrator

In a significant development for the Catholic Church in the region, Pope Francis has appointed Trinidad and Tobago's Archbishop Charles Jason Gordon as Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Willemstad in Curaçao. As Apostolic Administrator, Archbishop Gordon will oversee the diocese’s operations and ensure good governance until a permanent Bishop is named. Currently, Archbishop Gordon serves as President of the Antilles Episcopal Conference and Archbishop of Port of Spain, which includes the Suffragan Diocese of Willemstad along with Georgetown, Bridgetown, and Paramaribo. The appointment was officially announced today by the Antilles Episcopal Conference Secretariat in Port of Spain.
