25 years ago on January 21, 1999, parts of Central and Northeast Arkansas were rocked by numerous tornadoes in a single day with over a dozen of them powerful. “I don’t have a place to live right now," said a Little Rock resident. "Devastating.” It is a day many in Arkansas can never forget. "Heavy rainfall, hail, and any of these thunderstorms do have the potential of producing tornadoes tonight because the atmosphere is just exactly right for it," said Barry Brandt, KATV Chief Meteorologist.
