Arkansas football coach Eric Cohu to head to Israel, plans to revive sport amid conflict

Little Rock #Christian Academy head coach #EricCohu is taking a new path after seven seasons with the #Warriors to coach football overseas in Israel. I'm at a spot where I really want to see football grow internationally," Cohu said. "It is growing internationally. It is a great adventure but also good work helping out those young guys.” Almost 20 years ago, Cohu helped start the #Israeli Football League and watched it thrive. With the #war between #Israel and #Hamas ongoing, he said there is now a void he plans to temporarily fill. "One of my favorite stories and #movies in football is 'We Are Marshall'," said Cohu. "If you remember that story, part of any #tragedy is being able to carry on and get back to daily routine. It did sort of pull at the heartstrings a little bit on 'hey, I can really help that vacuum right now with so many guys that are going to be absent'.” His goal is to keep spirits up and bridge a gap through #football.
