Severe water shortages have gripped India's capital New Delhi amid weeks of intense heatwaves in the north, the "longest recorded" spell in the country. Nearly 2.8 million people are struggling to find enough of this precious resource for their daily needs. With monsoon rains about to arrive any day now, the situation might improve in the short term.
