Assoc Prof Kei Koga on Shigeru Ishiba winning LDP leadership race to become next Japan PM

Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party has picked its new leader. Former defence minister Shigeru Ishiba beat out eight other contenders to win the vote. The 67-year-old is virtually assured of becoming the country's next prime minister. Associate Professor Kei Koga from the School of Social Sciences at Nanyang Technological University shared more about the outcome of the leadership race and how Mr Ishiba could win back public trust.
