Singapore will soon be able to fully produce personalised cancer treatment locally. Pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca intends to build a S$2-billion facility to manufacture innovative medicine used in cancer treatments. Construction will start by end-2024 and it should be operational by 2029. This marks the first manufacturing investment in Singapore for the Anglo-Swedish company. While the location of the new site has not been announced, AstraZeneca said it will be the first end-to-end production site for such cancer treatment in the world.
