The ASX 200 ended the day up by 0.86 per cent on Thursday. AMP was the top performer, after reporting a strong increase in funds under management during the September quarter. The gold sector was higher, led by St Barbara. Diversified miner South 32 lifted too, along with the fertiliser maker Incitec Pivot, and Bank of Queensland kept lifting after Wednesday's results.
