Athletes pen letter to Qld Premier calling on him to reconsider 2032 Games main venue

High-profile athletes have penned an open letter to Queensland Premier Steven Miles. They’re calling on him to reconsider the Queensland Sport and Athletic Centre as the main venue for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. Grant Hackett, Sally Pearson and Karni Liddell are among the 14 athletes who have signed the letter. Mr Miles is committing billions of dollars to upgrade the facility. That is despite an independent review recommending a new stadium be built instead.
