Senior AAP leader Atishi was chosen by MLAs as the next Chief Minister of Delhi, two days after Arvind Kejriwal said he would step down from the top post. Kejriwal is expected to resign at 4:30 pm following a meeting with the Lieutenant Governor. Sources told India Today that it was a toss up between Delhi ministers Atishi and Kailash Gehlot for the top post. However, Atishi's name was backed by a majority of the legislative party members. There will be no deputy Chief Minister, sources said.
