ATMIS drawdown - ATMIS UPDF hands over control of the state house, Parliament to Somali nat’l army

The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia, with logistical support from the United Nations Support Office in Somalia, has completed Phase Two drawdown, which involved reducing the troop Count by 3000 soldiers. ATMIS transferred seven Forward Operating Bases to the Federal Government of Somalia and closed two others.
