Aussie Hay Runners helping farmers at their darkest time
Aussie Hay Runners has been helping farmers at their darkest time, providing much-needed feed and hay during the big dry and after devastating natural disasters. Over the past five years, their trucks have travelled almost 2.8 million kilometres and donated more than 44,000 bales of hay. “We started out with four truckloads in 2019 and we’ve now got around 74 trucks that we can call on. We’ve got some great drivers there and it’s just gone strength to strength,” Aussie Hayrunners founder Linda Widdup told Sky News Australia. “When you see people that have gone through things that it’s not their fault, it’s good old mother nature at her finest.” Aussie Hay Runners has acquired a transport subsidy and on January 26 will be working with the South Australian government to deploy a large convoy to assist farmers.
