Aussies face per capita recession as government pushes economic growth agenda

Sky News host Paul Murray says the government will “tell you” the economy is not in decline while Australians are facing a per capita recession. “Australia is in a per capita recession, meaning … the government will tell you the economy is not in a recession,” Mr Murray said. “The only reason that is happening is because the federal and state governments are hiring more public servants and giving them greater pay rises than the ones anyone in the normal economy would actually be doing.”
